The New Windmill Hall

Originally built by the London Borough of Havering in the 1960s as part of its community culture and leisure provision, the New Windmill Hall is situated on the edge of parkland and on a main route into Upminster.

In 2012, the management of the Hall was passed to an enthusiastic and entirely voluntary group of local Upminster residents, called ‘The New Windmill Hall Community Association.’ A considerable programme of refurbishment and redecoration, including toilets and kitchen, has been undertaken, resulting in a pleasant, adaptable and well-equipped venue to suit a wide variety of uses.

We hope that a wide range of local residents, local groups and businesses will choose to use our facilities.

The New Windmill Hall A charitable trust (No. 1150748) provides guidelines for the function of the project, and a Hall Steward is on site during letting times to provide support and to deal with all enquiries. In the future, we hope to further rationalise and develop the use of this excellent facility. We would love to make further links with a greater range of interested groups, and increase people’s choice of us as a wedding venue.

We welcome enquiries from any interested parties.
